Ride 07/24/25

Yesterday, a cyclist asked me for directions to get across the bridge, just in front of the Roundhouse, as he was coming down the path just away from the entrance to the bridge! If I were a tourist, and I came up to that path, I'd think it was the wrong way too because of all the people. So anyway, I explained to him the rules, and at the other end of the bridge he said it was crazy. I think he's a pro from Europe. He had no gloves on and wore DMTs, with a totally blacked out kit and S7, and he'll go back to Europe and tell everyone what SF is like, so I hope he enjoyed the rest of the ride, at least it was during the week and less of a circus! This is a short video from yesterday, going down the hill from the bridge, showing what the road is like. The bike path usually has lots of people. I think I gapped him a little at the end there, luckily I had my fast socks on. I used a 28 on the front tri spoke and that keeps the video smoother, and a 22 for the rear disk for speed, 120psi. I was trying to stay in front to show him the path to avoid the potholes, it's really easy to get a flat or crash on that road if you're not careful.
